Standard Home Inspection:

Our comprehensive inspection is based on an examination of the accessible features of a building and is conducted in accordance with the Standards and Practices of the National Association of Home Inspectors and the American Society of Home Inspectors. This includes a thorough inspection of structural elements such as the roof, foundation, windows, doors, floors, and walls. Additionally, the electrical, heating / cooling, and plumbing systems of a home are inspected for functionality, safety, and integrity. Upon completion of the on-site portion of the inspection, customers are given a detailed inspection report which describes the conditional of a home. At Home Inspection Services, LLC, we provide a digital copy of the inspection report as well as a hard copy upon request.

Radon Testing:

A short term (real estate transaction) radon test is designed to identify the radon potential in a home. Radon is a toxic, odorless, colorless gas that is the byproduct of the breakdown of radium, a natural occuring element found in the soil around us. The test requires that the home be in a "closed house" condition for the 12 hours preceding the test. The measurement devices are deployed for a minimum of 48-hours and are then collected and sent to a lab for analysis.

Appliance Recall Checking:

By federal law, manufacturers who have designed products which pose a hazard to consumers are required to recall those products and replace or repair them at no cost to the consumer. However, in many cases it is the consumer's responsibility to find out if an appliance or product has been identified as a potential fire or safety threat. Recall Chek does the work of searching the government's expansive database that catalogues 195 million recalled appliances to see if any of the appliances in a home have been recalled by the manufacturer.
